Р. 8. Bakeyev Rinat A. Tomsk State University. THE PLOT OF M.YU. LERMONTOV’S POEM «DEMON» IN THE STRUCTURE OF F.M. DOSTOEVSKY’S NOVEL «IDIOT». In the article the communication of M.Yu. Lermontov’s poem «Demon» and F.M. Dostoevsky's novel «Idiot» at the level of characterology and plot organization is studied. In this context the analysis of five plot checkpoints of the named works of art is carried out. Conclusions are drawn on Lermontov and Dostoevsky's typological parallelism in the subject of demonism and its various decision within the limits of romantic and realistic aesthetics.
